Who I am

nefling.dev is the website of Mateusz Reglinski, a freelance web developer based in Ireland. I am the data controller for the personal data described on this page. You can reach me at [email protected] with any privacy question or request.

What data I collect

• Contact form. When you send a message through the contact form, I receive the name, email address, subject, and message you provide. The message is delivered to my inbox by Resend, an email delivery service, and is not stored in a database on this site.
• Analytics. If you accept analytics cookies, this site uses Google Analytics to understand how visitors use it (pages viewed, approximate location, device type). If you decline, analytics cookies are not set. You can change your choice at any time using the Cookie Settings link in the footer.
• Rubin chat assistant. If you use the chat widget, the messages you type are processed by my self-hosted chat service so Rubin can answer. Please do not share sensitive personal information in the chat.
• Server logs. Like most websites, the server that hosts this site keeps short-lived technical logs (IP address, requested page, timestamp) for security and troubleshooting.

Why I process it

I use contact form data to reply to your enquiry (legitimate interest and steps before entering a contract). Analytics runs only with your consent. Server logs and basic anti-spam measures rest on my legitimate interest in keeping the site secure and functional.

Third-party services

• Resend delivers contact form emails on my behalf.
• Google Analytics provides visitor statistics, only after you accept cookies.
• Hosting. The site runs on infrastructure I manage, located in the EU.

I do not sell personal data or use it for advertising.

Cookies

The only optional cookies on this site are Google Analytics cookies, controlled by the consent banner. Your consent choice itself is stored in your browser's local storage so I do not have to ask on every visit. Declining cookies does not limit any feature of the site.

How long I keep data

Contact enquiries stay in my email inbox for as long as needed to handle the enquiry and any follow-up work. Analytics data is retained according to Google Analytics' standard retention settings. Server logs rotate automatically after a short period.

Your rights

Under the GDPR and UK GDPR you can ask me to access, correct, delete, or export the personal data I hold about you, object to or restrict processing, and withdraw consent at any time. Email [email protected] and I will respond within one month. You also have the right to complain to the Data Protection Commission (Ireland) or your local supervisory authority.

Changes to this policy

If I change how this site handles personal data, I will update this page and the date at the top. Questions are always welcome via the contact page.
